SinceWhen / Guide
Think of this as a walkthrough from a friend: what to track, how to log fast, and how to make SinceWhen quietly run your memory-heavy routines for you.
You only need three steps to get real value: create events, log quickly, then let widgets and nudges keep you on track.
Tap + on Home. Pick a name, icon/emoji, color, and optional nudge. Or simply tap any relevant suggestion to create the event faster.
Tap the event icon (or tap anywhere if enabled in Preferences).
Use Due Next and nudges so the app reminds you before you forget.
Track anything irregular; things you care about but don't do daily. If you've ever thought “wait, when did I last do this?”, it belongs here.
Create: Add name, icon/emoji, color, and optional nudge in one place. Edit anytime from long-press or event detail.
Log: Tap icon (or whole tile if enabled). Add notes for context when needed. A short cooldown protects against accidental double logs.
Learn: Open Insights for average interval, expected next, charts, and editable history. Add a few logs first so prediction has enough data to understand your frequency.
Use Log Event widgets for your routine items, and Due Next when you want a short list of what needs attention today or tomorrow.
Set nudges per event and choose your preferred nudge time. You stay in control: helpful reminders, not noisy nagging.
See average interval, expected next, trends, and full history with notes. Add a few logs first so SinceWhen can learn your real rhythm and predict better.
Search by event name, sort by due soon/due longest, and reorder manually so the most important things always stay visible.
No account, no tracking. Backup/export when you want. Restore supports older files, and imports ask for confirmation.
Keep events and logs in sync across devices on the same Apple ID. Sync is automatic when iCloud is available.
Free works great for up to 3 events. Pro unlocks unlimited events, iCloud backup, and JSON export with one-time purchase.
Habit apps are built for daily streaks. SinceWhen is built for irregular things you do every few days, weeks, or months. No streak pressure.
Yes. Use Home/Lock Screen widgets or notification actions to log quickly.
Yes. Open an event in Insights, go to History, then tap any log to open edit options. You can update details or delete that specific log entry.
Predictions need a few logs to learn your frequency. After you log the same event a handful of times, Expected Next becomes much more reliable.
Current backup/export format includes settings and sort order. Older files still import safely and keep your current settings when those fields are missing.
Yes. SinceWhen syncs events and logs across your devices on the same Apple ID when iCloud is available. If iCloud is unavailable, your local data stays safe and sync resumes later.
Start with 3 events you forget most often. Once logging feels natural, add more.
